6th grade student, Priya, from St Luke School has qualified to compete in the state level competition of the National Geographic Bee! The Washington State Bee will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018. Last week the 8th Graders strengthened their skills of looking at history by examining different perspectives. They were fortunate to have Sharon Sakamoto tell about her experiences of serving on the legal team that won an appeal in federal court for the Gordon Hirabayashi case. They discussed the impact of the decision and the ramific ations for citizens today. Amazing discussion!
