FOR UPDATES On Reopening for 2020-2021 School Year:
As we plan for the 2020-21 School Year:
Our primary goal is to provide the highest quality education possible for all St. Luke students, academically, socially-emotionally, and spiritually.
We will be following best practices for ensuring student health and safety.
Dear Parents!
We hope this page will be helpful to you as we navigate and plan for the re-opening of school for Fall 2020. Our Staff is working to design learning schedules and to identify space to accommodate the latest guidelines set forth by the CDC and the WA State Office of Superintendent for Public Schools. We will continue to monitor the latest information from decision-makers and influencers such as:
-
Governor and the WA State Health Department
-
Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
-
Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI)
-
Office of Catholic Schools (OCS)
-
Local Public School Districts
The 2020-2021 St. Luke School Model will include the following:
-
We will emphasize as much in-class instruction as possible, determined by our ability to keep safely within all health guidelines.
-
We will support our instruction with the appropriate use of technology.
-
Our instructional plan will allow for flexibility from direct, in-class teaching to distance learning.
St. Luke School is committed to evaluating and determining our ability to safely return students and teachers for direct instruction. Our intention is to return students and teachers to the school as soon as possible, planning for Fall 2020. COVID-19 health and safety-related protocols will be in place in the Fall. In the event of additional school closures, we are also planning and preparing for a seamless transition to distance learning.
We will continue to keep you updated on the latest information affecting our school opening. For details on our Reopening Plan and for the latest updates, visit our Reopening Page.
Please let us know if you have any questions. We are here for you!
