Human Trafficking Happens

Elizabeth Murphy, from the Intercommunity Center for Peace and Justice, presented the harsh realities of human trafficking to our 8th grade students last week. Inquiry and communication skills dovetailed in an IB interdisciplinary lesson on Human Trafficking (Individuals and Societies and Religion). Students were active and engaged learners with questions and commentaries on this difficult topic. Students are taking action by writing persuasive letters to various CEO's about the importance of safe and fair labor practices.
