Vera Federman, Hangarian Jew, Survivor of Holocaust Shares with 8th Grade Students

Today the Year 3 students (otherwise known as the 8th Graders) became witnesses as they listened to the story of Vera Federman, a young Hungarian Jew who survived both Auschwitz and Allendorf, a sub camp of Buchenwald during the Holocaust. Her granddaughter, Breeze Dahlberg, did an excellent job of gently walking the students through the unthinkable hardships and loss she endured during her struggle to survive. It was an inspiring morning of learning, inquiry, and reflection!
